Operations
Riverina Underground mine is located 46 kms west of Menzies township and 48 kms north of the Davyhurst Processing Plant. Underground mining commenced in May 2023 and achieved commercial production in August 2024 with full payback of investment within 18 months.
The Riverina village is located 2.8 km from the mine offices and was built in 2021 with significant expansion and upgrades completed over the past 2 years, including a sports court and dry mess expansion.
The mining technique utilised is narrow vein sub level open stoping with a modern mining fleet. Twin boom jumbo drills, remote capable production longhole drills and the use of remote and automated bogging assists in achieving a targeted production rate of over 800,000 ore tonnes and delivering 80,000 – 90,000 ounces per annum. The mine is over 350 metres deep, with two declines servicing an orebody strike of over 700 metres.
Underground development, production activities and drilling are completed by tier one underground mining contractors with Ora Banda Mining providing all management, technical and support services.
Ore is transported via an external haulage contractor to the Davyhurst Processing Plant.
Geology
Mineralisation is made up of a shear zone system hosting multiple parallel stacked narrow vein ore lodes with an average reserve grade of 3.5 g/t.
The Company is investing heavily in both surface and underground drilling to support mine life extensions. Recent drilling has successfully demonstrated mineralisation continues beyond a kilometre in depth which is over 600 vertical meters below the current working levels.
