The Siberia is a large project located 37km south-east of the Davyhurst processing plant covering a greater than 140km2 of the Ora Band Domain bounded by two major shear zones; the Zuleika Shear, to the west, and the Bardoc Tectonic Zone to the east.
The area consists of two defined mineralised trends, the Sand King – Black Rabbit and the Theil Well Trends for a strike length of over 30km.
The project hosts a current gold endowment of 827koz, made up of published Mineral Resources of 5.3Mts @ 3.0g/t for 508k ounces and historical production of 319k ounces at a grade of 2.5g/t, predominantly from open pit sources.
Sand King UG mine
OBM established the Sand King underground mine in August 2024 with first ore produced in December 2024. Infill and extensional underground drilling have confirmed the grade and volume potential of the main ore structures along with the identification and potential upside in newly defined additional discrete ore lodes.
The focus for exploration at Siberia is the extension and development of the Sand King mineralising system. A large diamond program is currently underway.
Drilling has already defined a high-grade mineralised strike length of over 1.3km, with the deepest hole returning 14.3m @ 5.3g/t and 18.7m @ 8.9g/t at depths of over 450 metres from surface depth. Mineralisation remains open both along strike and at depth.
